Silas' 1st Time Swimming!!!

Happy Memorial Day!  It's a beautiful day out...great for swimming too.  Silas wasn't too thrilled with the chilly water at first, but then he was crawling in and out of the pool and splashing up a storm.  It was fun to watch him splash dad and smile from ear to ear.

Yes, it's true, photographers don't usually get good photos of themselves.  In an effort to get a few photos of our family we used our trusty self-timer and got a pretty decent group shot.  We were visiting Jon's family and took an opportunity to snap a few cute ones.

Oliver

So, our good friends Jeff and Robin had Oliver back in July.  It is almost time for his birthday, but I am on a roll updating our blog, so I thought I'd post a few of his earlier photos.  So cute!  He also happens to be my son Silas' best little buddy.

So, we took these photos of baby Ulara last year...maybe March.  I remember being very pregnant while taking them.  She is so little and sweet and is well over a year old now.  The shoot was quite an adventure involving pee, poo, and a little puke.  It all comes with the territory I guess. haha

Cassandra and Todd!

Well, we have been absolutely terrible at posting on our blog for a long time.  We shot Cassandra and Todd engagement photos back in October, and just shot their wedding last weekend.  Since we have over 4000 photos to sort through for their wedding, I figured I would at least post a few of their engagement photos to commemorate the wedding.  More photos of the wedding to come soon.....

Our First Year Being Parents

Well, this year has been totally nuts for us.  We became new parents on 4.3.2011 to our son Silas, and it has been an adventure.  We have not done much photo work this year since we have lost a fair amount of sleep, and have been working opposite shifts to avoid day care.  With a new year comes new challenges.  I hope as the new year rolls around we will be blessed to serve more people with our talents.  Mary really wants to do more and more family and senior photos and Jon would love to start doing more band photography and design work.  Contact us for any work.  We would love to hear from you.  Here are a few photos from our 1st year as parents:
